Indigo Hotel Qingshuiwan, Hainan | Ocean Jewelry Market + Dinka Dual Habitat

Design Concept: The design concept for the Indigo Hotel Qingshuiwan, Hainan is 'boats as homes and seas as fields,' integrating Lingao Li ethnic rattan weaving techniques. Instead of directly showcasing fishing boats and nets, the design abstractly translates these elements into a 'Jewelry Market' theme where pearls, oysters, mother-of-pearl, and coral reefs are deconstructed into color, curved surfaces, and light languages that run through the building's facade, public areas, and guest rooms. The interior resembles walking into an open jewelry market washed up by sea waves. Dinka Philosophy: Using pearl-colored archways (emulating wave undulations), wooden-textured partitions, fishing net weaving patterns, and a check-in counter designed with inverted boats to convey 'coexistence of land and island, living by the sea.'
